Design Hotel Neruda is committed to sustainability and supporting the local community through various initiatives that reflect our philosophy of responsible tourism.

Sustainable Initiatives

• Herb Terrace: Our terrace is planted with a variety of herbs that not only create a pleasant atmosphere but are also used in our kitchen, ensuring freshness and reducing the need for external imports.

• Eco Water Savings (EWS): In 2024, we implemented the EWS system, allowing us to manage water more efficiently and minimize its consumption, contributing to the conservation of this valuable resource.

Supporting Local Community and Economy

• Membership in the Prague 1 Chamber of Commerce: As active members, we participate in initiatives that support local business and economic development.

• Patrons Club - Glassmakers' Award: We are proud members of the Patrons Club, reflecting our support for Czech craftsmanship and art.

Our Employees

• Stable Team: Most of our employees have been with us for over 10 years, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, which speaks to our strong company culture and commitment to caring for our team.

Environmental Programs

• MaR Heating Regulation: In 2023, we implemented the MaR regulation system, which helps us manage heating more efficiently and achieve energy savings.

• Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Free Options: Our menu includes a wide range of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes to meet the diverse dietary needs of our guests.

• Linens and Towels Replacement: We replace linens and towels every third day unless requested otherwise by guests, reducing water and energy consumption. Linens and Towels: We purchase linens and towels that combine quality and environmental sustainability. Through the STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification system, we have access to an official report on the carbon and water footprint of our production process.

  We are proud to provide our guests with not only a luxurious experience but also contribute to sustainable development. 

• Sustainable Food and Beverages: We offer local, sustainable, and seasonal items on our menu. We use cage-free eggs and have a food waste reduction program in collaboration with Too Good To Go.

Community Support

• Educational Tours: Through our concierge, guests can engage in educational tours of local natural, cultural, historical, or heritage sites, including guided historical city walks.

• Jams with a Story: At breakfast, we offer jams with a story, supporting local producers and providing a unique experience.
